WHAT'S NEW FOR 2027

The Kimberley never stands still, and neither do we. Each season, we revisit every detail of our Five-Night Wilderness Journeys. We listen to our guests and ask how a beautiful moment could become an unforgettable one.

In 2027, we’lll open a week earlier, welcoming guests from 26 April. Here's some of what awaits you. And yes, we've kept a few surprises for when you arrive.

At the Table

Champagne Bollinger, our new house pour

Our red dirt airstrip is your Kimberley red carpet, and every arrival deserves a toast.  Your first glass of French Champagne is poured the moment you step onto it. From there, it follows you through the lodge.  Long lunches, golden hour by the pool, dinner under the stars. Champagne Bollinger is now our house pour, there whenever the moment calls for it.

DINING

Every Evening, its own story

Five nights, five menus, and no two evenings alike. One night, you're barefoot by the fire at our sunset spot. Another, you're seated for a six-course chef's degustation. In between, three beautifully crafted courses built on premium local produce and matched wines.

Fire & Coast, our Barefoot Barbecue

We trialled it poolside at the lodge in 2026. In 2027, it moves to the sunset spot you'll come to love.  A custom-made bar, handcrafted tables and chairs, and an open-flame grill. Sand underfoot, fire at your side, and the Timor Sea turning gold below.

Twilight Terroir Tasting

A new sunset wine experience in partnership with award-winning Ampersand Estates, from Western Australia's South West. Hear the stories behind each wine as the sun dips below the Kimberley horizon, then taste them again over dinner that evening.

The Berkeley Reserve

A cocktail by the pool, a cold drink on the river, chilled bottles in your villa, a glass of something special at golden hour. Drinks are included all day, wherever you are.

For moments that call for something truly rare, our new reserve list offers a curated selection of the world's most celebrated wines and a Bollinger reserve range, available to purchase. It's ideal for an anniversary, a milestone or simply a night to remember. Pre-order before you arrive and we'll arrange the perfect moment to pour it.

The Kimberley Pantry

In place of a traditional minibar, the Kimberley Pantry lets you graze at your own pace.  At the lodge, you'll find fresh treats and snacks made in collaboration with Blak Tapas, an Aboriginal-owned caterer from Kununurra.  Native Kimberley ingredients feature throughout.  Our all-day pantry menu is yours to order from any time, from cheese plates to lemon myrtle slice.  Fill your villa esky with chilled drinks and ice from the bar, then take it to your deck, the beach or wherever the day leads.

NEW EXPERIENCES

Kimberley Botanicals

Slow down and meet the Kimberley up close. Our new morning bush masterclass begins with a gentle guided walk, gathering native plants and learning the stories and benefits behind their oils. Back at the lodge, morning tea is served while you distil your own essential oil, then pour it into a vial to take home. A beautiful choice for a slower morning, it's included in your stay and open to every pace.

The Berkeley Evening Ritual

Five nights, five quiet surprises

As the sun sinks below the horizon and your villa is readied for the night, something small waits by your bed. Each evening brings a different gift, chosen with care and inspired by the Kimberley. Some are crafted by local hands, some are drawn from native plants, and each one is a small piece of this place.

YOUR VILLA, REFINED

ETTO amenities

Step into your open-air bathroom and breathe in the Australian bush. Our new amenities come from ETTO, a Western Australian brand that grows its own Blue Mallee eucalyptus on Wajarri Country in the state's Mid West, and its tea tree on Bundjalung Country in New South Wales. Both are steam-distilled on ETTO's own farms, with no chemicals, synthetics, parabens or fillers. The eucalyptus farm even runs on wind power. From soil to oil, it's a range that shares our respect for Country, and it feels right at home in the Kimberley.

Signature Berkeley Mineral Bath Crystals

At the end of a sun-drenched Kimberley day, there's no better ritual than a long soak under the open sky. Our Signature Berkeley Mineral Bath Crystals are blended with our own signature scent and placed in your villa each day, topped up with your daily service. Mineral-rich and gently softening, they help ease tired muscles after a morning on the water or a walk through sandstone country. Run the bath, watch the stars appear, and let the day fall away.

French linen

Slip into sheets that began in the fields of Normandy. Our beds are now dressed in Carlotta & Gee French linen, made from pure flax grown without pesticides or chemicals. Each piece is washed with volcanic stones until it's beautifully soft. Linen breathes with you, staying cool and light through warm Kimberley nights, and it only grows softer with time. You'll find the same French linen in your robe, too.

THOUGHTFUL ADDITIONS

Some changes are grand. Others are the quiet details that make a stay feel effortless. Here are a few you'll notice.

A personal welcome

Your stay begins with a conversation. On arrival, each couple sits down privately with one of our managers to share what they'd love from their days ahead. Fishing, gorges, long lunches or simply stillness, your stay is shaped around you.

Villa Wi-Fi

By guest request, Wi-Fi now reaches every villa as well as the lodge. Share a sunset or check in with home from your deck. Prefer to disconnect? Simply switch it off and let the Kimberley have your full attention.

Guest transfer concierge

Arrange your transfers with ease. Just call the lodge from your mobile, using the direct number in your villa compendium, and we'll come to you.

The Berkeley Boutique

Our boutique has been refreshed with a considered collection of pieces to take the Kimberley home with you. Highlights include Akubra hats, made in Australia since 1912, and other treasures from our partners.

The lodge and pool, elevated

The pool area has been further refurbished, with new touches for early morning dips or lazy afternoons in the sun. Inside, a new stone floor runs through the lodge, cool underfoot and grounded in the colours of the land.

Back on solar power

When Cyclone Fina swept through in 2025, our solar network was lost with it. In 2027, it returns, rebuilt from the ground up. The lodge will once again run on Kimberley sunshine, keeping our footprint light in one of the most remote corners of Australia.
