ABOUT BERKELEY RIVER LODGE

Where the Berkeley River meets the Timor Sea lies one of the world's last true wilderness sanctuaries. Accessible only by air or sea, Berkeley River Lodge is Australia's most remote luxury lodge - and an invitation into a frontier few will ever see.

Since opening in 2012 on Balanggarra Country, Berkeley has held to one purpose: intimate, transformative journeys into the raw beauty of the Kimberley. In 2026, the lodge enters a reimagined era - newly curated interiors, bespoke furnishings, elevated dining, and expanded all-inclusive experiences, with that same essence at its heart.

With just 15 villas and a maximum of 30 guests, exclusivity is built into every stay. Days unfold in rhythm with the land: river cruises through ancient gorges, hikes to secluded waterholes and rock art, fishing on crystal waters, and indulgent Kimberley spa treatments. Evenings bring their own ritual: our Long Table, Fire & Coast Feast, gourmet degustations, and immersive set menus where the flavours echo the scenery around them.

Barefoot luxury here means refinement without pretension. Indulgence with ease. Service that feels personal, considered, and unhurried. Every detail is curated to stay with you long after you've gone - a rare invitation to step out of the ordinary and into the Kimberley.
